Pastel paintings

Inspiration for my pastel paintings have been taken from cultures around the world.

I use soft Pastels (professional and artist grade) which contain a high pigment to binder concentration on acid free velour or sandpaper-textured pastel paper. This means that pastel paintings framed behind glass will remain vibrant for as long as a good quality oil or acrylic painting.

Some of the most famous pastel paintings are probably made by the impressionistic painter Degas and can still be seen in museums around the world.
